Headliner update

I called Clearwater bay to get a price on a new headliner, I am waiting on a price then to move forward in completing the interior of the boat. The fabric has been ordered and we now need to look at the vinal that will be on the back side of the cushions. Saturday when we were at the boat I was under the rear cockpit and noticed a 1.5" hose from the scupper broken, I will check on a replacment and get it fixed asap. I still am needing to clean up the diesel as it is covered with oil and soot. I checked on pricing for the oil and gas filter change at 125.00 and will order supplies and take care of it when the boat is back in the water. I still need to look over all of the systems and am dreading the electrical panel, sometimes it looks like an Xmas tree with the different lights flashing on and off, the bilge pump and float switch are next on the list as I do not know of the condition of the pump. I have to keep the water out of the bilge and the interior dry. That's my update for now.

Cleaning the Bilge

It was a long weekend with Kim helping with the pancake breakfast, we then went to spencers scoccer game and then off to the lake to work on the boat. The girls took on the challenge of cleaning the bilge in our sailboat, we are having to replace the floor and was pulled out of the boat early in the week. It was a diesel filled oil caked mess and they did a great job. Thank you Kim and Gina for all the hard work on Saturday. You girls rock.

It's out -part II

We had a great day, Easter, choir and family. We left Kim's parents about 7:30 and headed off to the lake, we took the long way thru Foil and over the turnpike and landed at Clearwater bay right before dusk.

The boat for all of the years of being in the water looks fantastic, there was a little Buildup still on the bottom after the first power wash but I am really happy with the condition of the bottom.

All of the tru-hulls look great except for one at the starboard rear quarter.

This is to the cockpit drains and is not a problem, but will be looked at.

Here is a shot of the prop, Oh yes, it's a folding two blade- lets say fast...

Everything will be looked at, and I will take great pride in polishing this baby up

The hull needs to be polished and waxed, I am looking forward in the first sail in a couple of months.

I will post a link to the uploaded photos on the net on the next post.

It's Out

The boat was taken over to Clearwater Marina on Thursday morning. The winds have been really strong and we were waiting on Redbud Marina to bring up the crane to pull the boat out.

I have been so excited to go see the boat, but Friday it was thunderstorms thru out the day. Today was another shot in the dark as we had Easter egg hunt at 1:30 and choir at 5:00 and services at 6:00.

Sunday is Easter and we sing in both services, then out to Owasso for lunch at Kim's parents, maybee after we can break free to go see her, mike at Clearwater Bay said he powerwashed the bottom and he was even supprized how Clem the bottom was looking. I am guessing this means there are no to just a few blisters, I am starting to like that the boat was one of Ron Holland designs, and maybee the layup process was different due to Ron overlooking the boats, I have read several threads of other 35 to 38 footers having several hundred blisters.

Lots more to come, and we have named the boat.....
